 Yesterday’s Dream
       
Childhood is the most enjoyable and amazing experience part of my life. It is that phase of  my life when I was free from sorrows and worries. I had no job or anything to worry about. I only care the another day of spending time together with my playmates in school.

 On the 16th day of May, my teacher conduct a meeting together with my mother and the other parents of my classmates for the upcoming Graduation Ceremony which is going to happen on the 24th day of May. The teacher said that we should starting to practiced the song for Graduation Ceremony  by Tuesday so that we are ready for the upcoming event.
One sunny afternoon I was sitting in my favorite spot inside in our classroom. I was humming the song of MAY BUKAS PA that I sing when I was three years old, I kept humming the tone of the song when my teacher enter the classroom and she is said that “ I was looking for a student to sing the song for our upcoming Graduation Ceremony” some of my classmates said that they don’t know how to sing, I was just listening to them while I was continue humming the song that I’ve been humming I while ago when my teacher passing by near at my chair. She suddenly stopped and she asked me if I could sing in the graduation ceremony which is the “Yesterday’s Dream”, I said that “I’m sorry Mrs. Encina, I don’t know how to sing this song, I only know the May Bukas Pa, but eventually I didn’t know the full lyrics and at that time my mother is at the school to pick me up so Mrs. Encina my teacher directly talked to my mother about the song. She said “ Good afternoon Mrs. Entroliso, I will asked a permission to you that if you allow your child Ericah to sing the song for the Graduation Ceremony, because I heard her humming a song, and I’m sure that she knows how to sing” my Mother replied “ I am sorry Mrs. Encina, Ericah doesn’t know that song, she was only practicing to sing the song May Bukas Pa, and she doesn’t know the full lyrics” my teacher said “ That was okay because I will be giving you a copy of the lyrics and the tone so that she could practiced in your house” with that my mother I accepted of what my teacher said. My mother helped me practiced the song every night in our house, I remember that I was very tired when I got home and I want to have some sleep before I’d practice the song, but my mother said that “ No, you won’t sleep unless you practiced this song once” so I immediately get the copy and started to practiced because I was very excited to have some sleep.

Days passed and I continued memorizing and practicing the song and thanks God I memorize all the lyrics of the song before the Graduation Day. When the time comes and it was the Graduation Day, I was so nervous because it was my first time to sing in front of many people. I drank a lot of water and I got a handkerchief for me to hold it. When I am on the stage I was very shy and my hands was shaking and my heart is beating so fast, what I did to ease my nervousness is I hold tight to my handkerchief and I was just thinking that no one is watching me that I am just in our house practicing the song, I just thought all of this until I finally finish the song. The audience clapped their hands when I finished the song. I was so amaze to myself that I did a great job and sing the song perfectly.
